GDPR & your data rights
Guests in the EU/UK and Australian residents hold the same rights at this desk: access, correction, portability and erasure of personal data. Requests are answered within 30 days — write to [email protected] with "Privacy request" in the subject. Full detail lives in our Privacy Policy.
Corporate identity
OZ Elements Hotel Pty Ltd — ABN 74 208 593 176, ACN 519 084 732 — registered office at 410 Sandy Bay Road, Sandy Bay TAS 7005, Hobart, Australia. Director: A. R. Whitcombe.
The estate operates under Tasmanian Gaming Licence TGL-2847-061 issued by the Tasmanian Liquor and Gaming Commission, and a liquor licence covering all dining and bar outlets.
Gaming compliance
The gaming floor operates strictly 18+ under the Gaming Control Act 1993 (Tas). Responsible-gambling codes apply to all play; self-exclusion and limit tools are available at the rewards desk.
Gaming records are retained and disclosed per statutory schedule — this overrides guest-request erasure only where the law requires it.
GDPR & international guests
For EU/UK residents, OZ Elements acts as data controller for stay-related processing. Lawful bases: contract (your booking), legitimate interest (estate operations), consent (marketing), and legal obligation (gaming & tax records).
Data doesn't leave Australia except where your booking chain requires — and transfers carry contractual safeguards. The full data inventory lives in the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
Site content, photography, the OZ Elements wordmark and the journal are property of the operator — reproduce with written permission only.
Third-party marks (MONA, festival names, producers) belong to their owners; references are editorial, not endorsements.
Liability
The estate's liability for services is limited to the maximum permitted by Australian Consumer Law — statutory consumer guarantees are never excluded.
Gaming disputes are governed by Tasmanian law and the Commission's resolution process; accommodation disputes follow ACL remedies.
Governing law
These notices are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. Courts of Tasmania have jurisdiction over disputes not resolved by the regulator.
